The DA-40 is a four-seat, low-wing cantilever monoplane which has a fixed tricycle landing gear and a T-tail. Designed primarily as a trainer aircraft the DA-40 is known for its benign handling at low speeds and its short take off and landing characteristics. The DA-40 successfully completed its maiden flight on the 5th November 1997.

This brilliant sport scale model is perfect for the novice and experienced pilots alike. With it's high level of scale detail, most will not realize that it's a foamie at first glance! with its steerable nosewheel, molded wheel pants, hinged cockpit canopy, pilot and passenger seats, this model has it all! Constructed from ultra-durable EPO foam with lightweight plywood formers, this model can easily handle less than perfect landings without doing to much damage, this makes it great for less experienced pilots looking for a sport scale model to fly.

The DA-40 Aircraft arrives as an almost ready to fly and requires , 11.1v 2200mAH 20~30c lipo and your own transmitter and receiver. The hardware pack contains all fixtures and fittings along with a tube of foam safe glue. All servo extension leads / Y-leads are pre-installed so there will be no need for any major alterations when assembling the airframe.
